These terms describe the rules for using UniQuest, a college search planner at youruni.quest. By signing in, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Who can use UniQuest
UniQuest is for high school students planning their college search, and for the parents, guardians and counselors they share it with. It isn't meant for children under 13. If you're under the age required to agree to these terms on your own where you live, a parent or guardian should review them, and the Privacy Policy, with you.
Your account
- You sign in with your Google account, or with your email address and a password. Keep your password to yourself, and keep your email and Google accounts secure: anyone who can open your email can reset your UniQuest password.
- If you sign in with Google, your use of your Google Account is also governed by Google's own terms.
- Use an email address that's actually yours, so you can always get back in.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Sharing
You decide who gets your parent and counselor links, and you're responsible for who you give them to. Anyone with the parent link and PIN can add their own rankings and notes. If a link reaches the wrong person, replace it in 🔗 Sharing; the old one stops working straight away.
Your information
What you enter in UniQuest stays yours. You allow us to store it and show it to you and to the people you share it with, only so we can run the service. The Privacy Policy explains the details.
Guidance, not guarantees
- UniQuest helps you organize your own research. A college's fit score only counts the must-haves you've checked off yourself; it isn't a ranking or an assessment of the college.
- UniQuest doesn't give admissions, financial or other professional advice. Confirm important details, such as costs, deadlines, programs and admission requirements, with each college.
- Answers from AI tools you paste your school-search prompt into can be wrong or out of date. Treat them as ideas to check, not facts.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Use someone else's email address or account without their permission
- Try to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to UniQuest's systems
- Use UniQuest for anything unlawful or that breaks your school's own code of conduct
Changes and availability
UniQuest is under active development. We may add, change or remove features, and we'll try to keep the service running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Ending your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimer
UniQuest is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and reliable, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not liable for issues arising from its use beyond what applicable law requires.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent permitted by the law that applies where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
